That's kind of funny, but I've seen the same thing happen in the computer industry. Companies actually do sometime seek out the people who hacked their software. I don't know if it is still running, but a few years ago Britain's MI-5 (sort of like our CIA) posted a challenge on a website saying they would offer a job to anyone who could hack into it.
Criminals aren't all stupid. I hope if that little ad is real that the guy has turned his life around.

There's a police chief spot open in Hattiesburg.

So, did he find employment from this ad and how did that turn out for him?

Actually, this wouldn't be a bad choice for police chief:
1) knowledge of law enforcement policies and procedures.
2) Staff management experience.
3) Fleet management experience.
4) Results-oriented.
5) Trilingual abilities are useful with immigrant population.

Yes, employing persons with "off-colored" pasts can be very beneficial to companies. Many major corporations have been doing this for quite sometime. Mercenaries have been hired guns down through the ages.

I think he'd be great in law enforcement ....as you've previously mentioned.
My question is: In Hattiesburg, aren't law officials voted in? Don't positions like Sheriff and Police Chief require an election?
What is the process for those positions to be filled? I'm trying to understand how the HPD works here. As I've stated before in previous posts. MHer's have made it clear that the HPD is in need of some serious "house cleaning" even to the point of someone suggesting the US Marshals become involved. That's a harsh statement coming from the area they "so call serve".
