my friends over at the symphony with southern miss work really hard and do a really good job of bringing big name music to hattiesburg
mike lopinto and jay dean are simply some of the best people to work with or for and they have a real passion for what they do...
im sure this show will be as badass as everything else they bring to town

Well that sucks. I remember listening to Charlie Pride with my grandpas when I was just a wee small fuzz.

This is a pretty big deal. The concert is part of the Southern Miss Symphony series and wraps up the ADP Arts Heritage Festival on March 31. Tickets have been on sale for quite some time ... but I understand it's a sellout.
About the only way to get a ticket now, is to find a Symphony season ticket holder who will not be attending. You can also check back with the Southern Miss ticket office. Season ticket holders not attending are being asked to turn in their tickets for recycling.
And here's a good alternative for you on Friday night, March 30. Acclaimed singer/songwriter Kate Campbell will be in Concert at Main Street United Methodist Church in Historic Hattiesburg Downtown ... in an Arts Heritage Festival sanctioned event. She will also be performing on the Main Street AT&T Festival Stage at 10:30 a.m on Saturday morning.
As a matter of interest, Kate and Charlie Pride share Sledge, Mississippi, as their hometown tap root. More information here (http://www.myhattiesburg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17391) and on Kate's Web site (http://www.katecampbell.com/).
I hope to be in Memphis on the 31st. If I were to be at home I would love to see Charlie Pride. I remember momma listening to him all the time.

I saw Charlie a couple of years ago at the State fair, he was excellent! I wish I was going:(
If any body hears of extra tickets let me know I'd love to go.
