Any hotrodders out there? I know there's a couple in the hub city area, I see you when you're cruisin' around every now and then. Whatcha driving? Anyone know what happened to the car show they used to have at Purvis? It was the most AWESOME show I've seen put on in this area. LOTS of cars turned out. What gives? Can we get it back?
I'm working on a '50 Plymouth now, hope to drop a SBC or big block in it. Maybe chop the top and drop her on the ground, flame it out, maybe ghost flames, though I've a spot for traditional flames. Come on, feel the rumble!!!

I believe if you love a car & you wanna beef it up, bling it up, bore it, stroke it, chop it, stretch it, pick up a wrench & get greasy it counts as a hot rod. You are a motorhead.
I saw a chopped & channeled Yugo one time with a 318 Chrystler shoehorned into it, and it was definately a a hotrod (if a tounge in cheek one), so I guess a Honda could slip in under the wire. (but please don't park it next to a Chevy)

LOL, I hear ya 58Ford. Really though, if it sounds good, and goes fast, who really cares. But don't park it next to mine, and sho'nuf don't park no stinkin' Mustang near me, either. HAH!!!

I could tell you a story you wouldn't believe involving a Yugo, but, I was young and 'vicarious' then, so I'll digress.

Of all the vehicles I've owned 2 were my favorite and when I see them now I drool still:
"73" 340 Mopar holly 6pak speed shift kit, traction bars and would pull 13's in the quarter. The only problem was the secondary choke late spring, when you jumped on it, ti would bend it and you had to replace it quite often.
"67" Camaro 327 powerglide had it repainted Teal and white to go with my red hair, the interior was white diamond tuck leather and she was a cruiser...
As much as I'm a Mopar fan the Camaro is a "Classical Beauty"
My recreational toy... a "76" CJ-5 with a 327 engine I took to Mexico to ramble around in...*sighs* I wish I had those back...

Camaro's are nice, the 1st gen. anyway, the 2nd is okay, anything after just sucks. The Mopar cars are awesome. The last jeep I rode in, a couple of weeks ago, was a '76 CJ-5 with the AMC 304 bored and cammed up, will sling mud like you know what....

but just remember- while ur over there having to put all your money to gas in the tank, we're spending our money on more and more mods and spending less and less gas

Cars nowadays (imports and domestic) just ain't got the 'style' some of the older cars do. If you lined up a Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundia in front of me, I couldn't tell you the difference if they didn't have the name's on them. Granted, Chrysler has a couple of stylish cars out, but that's about it. Even the suv's all look like boxes, what gives? Give me the curves of a '49 Merc. or the fins of a '59 Cadillac anyday. It's very sad, that the countries we 'liberated' and kicked ass in in the 2nd world war now dominate the car industry, all the while using our melted scrap iron. What is a new Honda today was probably a '57 Chevy back in the day, tis sad times in the American car market. But, I'll admit, as long as your working on your own car, whatever kind it is, I mean turning the wrenches on it, your cool, you dig? Whether it be a Honda or a 'classic'.
