Tubby Smith Leaves Kentucky....for Minnesota?

Kentucky basketball coach Tubby Smith is leaving the Wildcats to take over as head coach of the Minnesota Golden Gophers who went 9-22 this season. Smithled the Cats to a National title during his first season in 1997, but they have not even made the Final Four since, which is a long drought in the Bluegrass state. If an Ole Miss Coach had Tubby's success over ten years, he'd probably get elected Governor! In Kentucky hoops nation, they call for your head.

As a UK grad and fan.....Tubby has gone 9 years w/o a final four. You add that to the fact that it's hard to watch the style of ball these teams have played over the last several years and it's splitsville. IMO, this was the worst year of coaching UK has had in the last 50 years of basketball.
