I'm new to My Hattiesburg. I'm a Hattiesburg native and lived there till I was 29 years old. I've been away 21 years and while I'm only 100 miles away I still miss it every day. I am northshoreagle and live in Mandeville, LA. It's a great town, but it's not Hattiesburg.

Honey, you have just found the best medicine! I grew up in Hattiesburg, moved away 26 years ago, and miss it a lot. And I'm 12 hours away. Glad you found us and look forward to seeing you around. We're real close in age and may even know each other! Welcome to the group. :smt006

My boyfriend from Metarie likes Sal and Judy's restaurant. He also likes Middendorf's.

I miss Hattiesburg, too. And I live here.

Yes, I agree. I miss the old Hattiesburg too. Life was much simpler then, but I am still here too.

Welcome NSE - Guess you're finding your area exploding like the 'burg.
Recently drove down to eat eggs and was amazed at the growth. H'bg
is running amuck - makes it hard to get around at times. The 'old' burg
WB spoke of disappeared before Cloverleaf Mall was built - yeah, I miss it
too !

aww....that is sad! I always say i can't wait to leave this town- but I know that when i finally do- i will be like you and miss it. It really is a good ole little city! Welcome to myhattiesburg! Maybe this will help you feel more home!
