I just joined today and my name is Dawna (like Donna) but spelled the other way.


I am a WAHM in the OG area. I thought this looked like a good place to meet local people and to ask a question.

I lived her a few yrs ago and have recently moved back because my husbands company is building restaurants in Gulfport and Hattiesburg in the near future.


Does anyone have any ideas of where I can take pictures of my little girl. She has a dance recital coming up and I have to do photo's for her program book and want pretty backgrouns. I thought of the fountains at the C Center but would like to know of any other places some native's may have on where I could take her to shoot a few pics.

As far as pictures, there's the pond in front of USM with the bridge. Or isn't that there anymore?

Yeah, that's there. There's actually a few places that are good at USM. Might want to just walk around. I don't know about other places that may be picturesque. There may be some spots at other colleges like William Carey. Downtown is hit and miss but worth a try.

Plenty of pretty places at USM with all the flowers and there is a veteran's park at the end of Hardy Street going toward town. There is a 1 way street to the left and a street into town straight in front of you. West Pine is to your right.
That park has a fountain.

Where does she take dance? My daughter has a recital in May and they are having someone come on the 14th and take pics for the programs.
