I'll be keeping Jason Weathers and his family in my prayers.
The eldest grandster goes for his annual cardiology appointment in Jackson Monday. Say a prayer or two for a good report. He will face a valve, conduit replacement probably in the next year or two. His surgeon has retired so a new surgeon will have to be found...probably in Boston. I really wouldn't be surprised if his cardiologist doesn't schedule a cath on Monday.

Please keep my husband in your prayers. His mother is not getting any better. He and his sister are agonizing over what to do as she is still on life support.

Please pray that God helps eases her pain as well as her family's.

Hi Guys. Thanks for praying for the Weathers/Shows family. They will still need your prayers for a while longer. Its going to be a very difficult week.

Also we need to pray for the Jones/Alexander family. Penny Jones Alexander died Saturday morning after a long battle with cancer. Her family needs our prayers right now too.

Thanks so very much for prayers for both of these families. Its hard to loose a loved one even when you know they are at peace.

Please pray for Mother in law. The family has decided to remove life support on Tuesday morning. They are waiting for pastor to arrive in town. God love her, she will be pain free and in God's arms.

I am FINALLY here birthdaybunnie...THANKS for missing me! My computer is on the fritz and I havn't had a chance to get someone to take a look/see at it as of yet.

I have been really busy helping Booshay get his new house ready so he can soon move in...and between that and my house I have been putting in 16-18 hour days lately.

Love and prayers going up for all request. Even though I have not been online, I include you all in my daily prayers. May the Good Lord bless you all.

Needing prayers for a friend at work. Her husband, who is 44, suffered a mild MI this morning. He is ok at the moment and will have a heart cath in the AM.
He was throwing up and had pain in his mouth....Please everyone, pay attention to symptoms and don't be afraid to go to the ER.

I've been meaning to give an update on the eldest grandsters cardiologist visit on Monday, but sometimes I just hate to dwell on it. He got a good report...No cath yet, but his conduit is narrowing...or getting too small as he grows. He has another appointment in January when they will probably set up a cath to try and stent it to postpone his next surgery (valve, conduit replacement) as long as possible. The longer it can be delayed, the better as they are coming up with so many new things every day. He is really an amazing little boy. I appreciate all of your prayers and would like for you to keep remembering him. Prayers and miracles have gotten us through so many, many times.

Please pray for my sister. She is having problems with her stents and they have to go back in again. My aunt Marie had the same surgery Monday a.m. and they ended up amputating her leg. I am scared for my sis and my legs have been hurting for a few weeks now too. Please pray the surgery works and amputation is not needed. Thank y'all.

Thanks y'all. My sis made it through this 3rd surgery. I was really scared considering my aunts amputation Monday. I didn't tell my sis about it because I knew it would have freaked her out going through this surgery too. I knew her blood pressure would go through the roof being stressed about it. Just wanted to thank everyone for their prayers.

:clap::clap: Damnyank made it through his knee replacement today. He was in his room by 4:00 and answering the phone. He said it hurts like he// but he had sat up on the side of the bed and moved from one end of it to the other.:ohnoes: He is already on the mend so glad he was on our prayer list too. Just wanted to let everyone know he is doing good. What do you expect out of a Damn Yankee boy :bowrofl:

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for your prayers with my papaw....his recovery has been a miracle... he is even eating now!!! Thanks to all of you!!! Hopefully he will be able to walk again soon!!!!

I got this email from my cousin today...

"Please, when you have a minute, pray for this little boy. He was having problems with digestion and upon examination it was discovered that where his stomach and intestine join there was a small hole or separation--he is the son of my husband's center manager at AAMCO. Doctor said surgery on Monday went very well. When I called tonite to check on him I learned that he was in ICU--fluid in lungs, and only breathing at 65% oxygen level. He is only "5" and is a Down Syndrome baby. I know his parents would really appreciate your prayers. Thanks. "

Oh, the pain....I feel it for her - only had a car dollied on a move once - and that was PLENTY. Extra prayers that she only has to drive forward. :smt023

Thanks JMB. I forgot to update this thread. I did speak with her and she is doing fine.....I believe the weather has gotten better for her, too. She is still about 4 hours away.

Yeah, it cleared up for her shortly past the MS/TN state line. Hopefully she doesn't get into any more heavy rain. :)

Got an update on the little boy my cousin requested prayer for...thank you so much!!!

"Jimmy (child with Down Syndrome) is doing better today--all "tubes" are out. No catheter, no iv, nothing. He's on "milk" today and if he tolerates that, they start him on some solid food tomorrow. Something I did not know: he was on morphine for pain--morphine causes you to retain fluid. So far, so good. Thank you all for continuing to pray for this little 5 year old boy. PRAYER WORKS-- Thanks. Darlene"

I would like somebody to pray for a friend who got electrocuted last week, He is going home from hostipal. He got hit while in attic working and both shoulder joints were damaged and He had surgery to repair, pray for his healing and the fact that he is self employed and works with his hands. He was lucky. Also pray for son and buddy in Kenya, they will be leaving in 2 weeks.

Please pray for me, I will be having a exam that is simple for other's next week but will be very painful and life threatening for my situation. Pray they find nothing, it will be Tuesday at 3:30pm, I am having a hard week but have so much to do I have to keep going. Thank you so very much.

Mrs. Jimmyjam's sister had her baby who was not due until Nov. 5th and weighed 1lb 5 ounces Thursday morning and he lived until last night around 5:30. The family is devastated so I would appreciate prayers for the family. The doctors are mystified as to why Mandy went into such premature labor. They also have a four year old who was looking so forward to having a baby brother.

Requesting pray for one of our church missionaries son, he has meningitis and is a drug induced coma for his safety.
They are missionaries to Africa and are in Kenya to get medical care for their little boy.
They are also 3rd generation missionaries to Africa and have done a great work there and need the support of the home land. Thank you very much.

Last night, I found out "through the grapevine" that someone I knew back in the day was injured in a swimming accident of some sort. I don't know all of the details of what happened. Today his family was told that there was no brain activity and took him off of life support. I hadn't talked to him in quite some time (pre-Katrina), but he was a pretty nice guy. Please pray for his family and friends. They're all hurting so bad right now. His name was Ryan, and he was only 26 or 27.

Just found this thread and didn't know where to look and I am glad I found it. My prayer list gets bigger but I will be praying for all that need prayers right now. If you don't mind please pray for my grandson Nick he fell and broke his wrist he was flown to Cook Childrens hosp. ft worth tex. they tried 2 casts didn't work he broke both bones in his wrist. Theynow have 2 pins in his arm from his wrist to his elbow. he is in a lot of pain and only 11. I can't be with him he is far away and its killing me. please keep him in your prayers that he heals quickly and gets out of pain. thanks so much Raina Snow :smt049:rose:

Believe me, I know what it means to have a sick or ailing grandster...and he will be in my prayers. What helped me was counting my blessings. It seems I could sleep at night when I did that. I know that he's in pain, but unless something goes wrong...his injuries are not life threatening and he will recover. It's not easy knowing they are hurting and you can't be there though...

We picked up son today in N.O. and thanks for your prayers and kind thoughts and words. I am glad he is home and has lots of stories, I will tell something funny, he pulled out this little bell on the way back from airport and said this was a rickshaw bell that the driver used like a horn on car, but what was funny son said he pulled the driver of rickshaw around and then bought the bell for a dollar, the other drivers thought it was hilarious that a white guy pulling him around.
