Please pray for my cousin Billy and his wife Kathy, who welcomed a set of twins into the world earlier tonight. Many of you probably remember me talking about Billy and Kathy before....they are the ones who lost their only two children at the hands of a drunk driver in Jan. 2002 (http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=15846&format=print). At the time of the accident, Jake was two days shy of turning 5 and Lauren was six months old.

The twins (a boy and a girl!) were born at 35 weeks and they each weighed about 3.5 pounds and are now in the neo-intensive care unit. Please pray for them (and for Billy and Kathy)...as this has been an incredibly difficult six years for them and for my family.

(To make a long story short, after they had Lauren, my cousin had a vasectomy because they figured they had the boy and the girl they always wanted..... After having the reversal procedure and years of trying, they found out they were pregnant with triplets earlier this year. Sadly, one was lost about two months ago).

Thank you in advance.

I go to the doctor at 1:20. Yall please pray that my wound is healed enough for him to remove this vacu pump. I don't think I can handle much more of having to drag it around every where I go and staying plugged into an electrical outlet most of the time. I can handle giving myself the IV antibiotics until Sept 3 but this pump is just too much.

Thanks for the prayers. Dr. gave me a choice but recommended I keep the pump for one more week as it will help my wound heal faster. I opted to keep it so yall please prayer for me to have the patience to stay "tied" down until next Monday when I go back. I am so tired of this apartment and feel so confined. I don't know how I would be able to endure this if it were not for all you guys and MH. I send up a prayer of thanksgiving for all of you every day.

Prayer for all....

Virgo, you may thank I am crazy but when I read they had twins, a boy and girl, the Spirit moved in me and I started crying, I know nothing will bring the other children back but I don't think it was just coincidence they got a boy and girl. God moved on a lot of prayer for them.

Pray for my cousins friend in Houston, TX, the man's mother was suppose to drop off the grandchild and forgot the child was in the car seat in the backseat until she got off work and found the child, the whole family is taking this extremely hard, especially the grandmother, she may not make it through this. A move of God needs to intervene.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all... As well as with the loved ones of the fallen officers that we have had recently here in Mississippi... :bhug:

May the Lord bless and comfort each of us and may we in turn share our blessings and comfort with those in need. We never know how far a little kindess or an unexpected good deed will go and how much it may mean to someone else...

Prayers have been sent for ALL request. Bayfly, I know just how you feel with your son making it home safely. I was on pins and needles when my son was in the military and was sent to Saudi...I swear I could not take a deep breath the whole time he was gone. It was like a ton of bricks had lifted off my shoulders when his plane touched down on his return trip home.

My aunt and uncle need prayer, their son who has lived with them all his life has kicked them out of their home in Houston, we have spent a few days getting them to Petal and my aunt has done nothing but cry. My cousin took over payments of the house 5yrs ago and his wife hates my aunt and would cuss her and throw things at her, well the family got together and said we will not take it anymore and called elder abuse in Houston and when DHS came out her son told my aunt 74yrs old and uncle 76yrs old to leave after they lived in that home for 37yrs. They had no where to go that they could afford. People never put your home in your kids name their spouse may hate you and I would hate to see this ever happen to another person that is old. They brought their mentally challenged daughter with them, she is not so bad off that she cannot take care of herself just very slow minded. This has tore our whole family to pieces this week from coast to coast, pray that we are not so bitter toward our cousin that we do not loose our own souls over this foolish act he has committed against his parent. The family got together and we got them a apt and I am working to get all papers and other stuff transferred, I think it will all work out because it is far cheaper to live here than in Houston, thanks for your prayers.

They are so lucky to have you and your family to help them. There are so many older, abused parents that have no one to come to their aid. If there is anything I can do please let me know. For now I will put your whole family on my prayer list.
The son will see the errors of his ways at some point but it will probably be too late to help his poor parents.

lwood
08-21-2008, 01:07 PM
I think that is what will happen too, Betsy, and to think when he took over payments he told his poor mother "don't worry you will always have a place", they should have sold it and got a small place like everyone told them instead of worrying about where her son and family would live....house will be paid for in 6mths.

Prayers going up for you lwood and for your aunt and uncle. Your cousin will get "his" one day...rest assured of that! My granny always told me "God don't like ugly!" Meaning, God doesn't like for people to be ugly to others...in my 57 years of life, I have found that to be sooo true...

You WILL eventually reap what you sow. I have worked cases very similar to this and I just can't imagine throwing your mom and dad out of their house. It breaks my heart to see this kind of crap. Keep us posted on how things are going. Good luck.

Prayers for you IWood, your entire family too. I truly believe we reap what we sow. Their son will get what he gave. It may not be where you will know it, but someday he will get his own. It is just sad to know that people like him generally never realize why "bad" things happen to them. You just can't fix stupid. God bless you for being there to help.

I would like to request special prayers for a good friends dad. He retired out of the Navy and lives in Pensacola. He has had alot of health problems recently and I just found out that he was put in ICU last night with congestive heart failure. I was told it was NOT looking good.

The hospital first put him on a ventolator but removed him when they got his living will. His son is in the hospital in Boston and his daughter's husband is not in good health either. They have alot on their plates at the present and need all the prayers they can get. I know she would appreciate prayers being sent as well as I do.

Well monday the trial starts and they need all the strength they can get as they have to sit threw this horrible ordeal. Just ask, prayers really do work. Glad the guy confessed and there didn't have to be a trial. This is horrendous on both sides (Victims and perpetraters families). Most of the criminals families don't believe what they are hearing because no one wants to admit their mom, dad. brother etc. would do such a heinous crime. Glad things worked out for the Clarks in this situation. No trial IS great.

I want to ask prayers for my father. I have mentioned in post he was diagnosed with lung cancer. It's been 3 months now. He had to go to ICU this week and the lung doctor told me it was time to make him comfortable. He didn't say that he shouldn't keep on with chemo. Now, daddy is struggling very hard to make the decision to stop everything or to see if Chemo for a bit longer may prolong his life. His breathing is getting very labored. To add to the fact he is also in heart failure due to the pressure on his heart from the fluid in his lungs. Please pray for the Lord's will to be done. I do not want my daddy to suffer and want what God's will is as I know it is for His glory this is happening. Prayer is powerful and right now, my daddy, my momma and my sister, me and our kids needs as many as we can get. Daddy is the only grandfather that my kids have really known. My oldest is pregnant with her first child and to make things worse, not only is she losing her grandfather to cancer her husband is also losing his as he has been given 6 months at most. We will all be with him again, so please lift him up and ask God to give him peace.

jbrack, prayers continue for you and jmb. IF you had open heart surgery like my hubby (they opened him up like a can of sardines) it will be a slow recovery. Granted he had MAJOR problems during and after surgery but it just plain takes times to heal. Just take one day at a time and take care of yourself.

We got thru the ordeal with the love and grace of God...and ONLY with His love and grace. You will too....just DON'T overdo it and listen to the doctors. :)

To those of you who remembered my daddy and family in your prayers, thank you very much. We buried him today, the angels came to get him Tuesday morning. He is at peace now. Please continue to pray for us. Your prayers have been felt. My daughters husband also lost his grandfather a week ago Saturday night. As she is pregnant with my first grandchild her husband and her are going through a very hard time. Lift her up please and pray for the Lord to keep the baby healthy and safe in this hard time in their lives.

Believe, I am so sorry for your loss. I have lost my dad too and I know how it feels. Prayers will continue for you and your whole family. Just remember he IS at peace and is looking down on you and will ALWAYS be in your heart.

Prayers going up for your daughter and her husband and the new life they are bringing forth. May God richly bless you all.

This has to do with the request that I didn't explain awhile back.

I'm in therapy for anxiety and depression, and I'm supposed to be taking Lexapro. I quit taking the medicine awhile back because it made me sick, and didn't seem to do anything but interfere with my school work for the worse. I'm supposed to see my GP and have him put me on something else, but haven't yet.

I've been having a series of very bad days lately, but thanks to my wonderful hiding skills, no one knows, except maybe my boyfriend, but that's because he's around me enough to see. I need prayer that I get over this soon, because I don't know how much longer I can handle it.

bratprincess1920, please know that we are here for you, praying, listening. But do try to get help asap. This isn't something that you need to try to handle alone.
Promise to call someone.

I'm supposed to see my therapist next week, so I can talk to her then. I just have a very very hard time reaching out to people, because I have very poor social skills and don't know how to talk to people. This thread right here is the most I have ever reached out besides some crying sessions with my boyfriend.
