Good evening friends. I have just joined this community and look forward to communicating with you from time to time. My name is Carol Ann Bustin. I am 40 years old (don't tell!) and live in Lamar County/Oak Grove. I have three children -- Emily (16 yrs) at Oak Grove High School, Abby (7 yrs) at Oak Grover Lower Elem., and Will (6 yrs) at Oak Grove Lower Elem. My husband is Bill.
I am the Lamar County Justice Court Judge for District 3, and I have my own private law practice in Lamar County where I handle an assortment of litigation cases, mostly family law, as well as real estate transactions (i.e. loan closings).
I grew up in Hattiesburg. My parents are Tom and Fran Estes. My father was a Vice Pres. at USM, so I bleed black & gold. I even went to kindergarten at USM! I graduated from USM in 1988 and am a lifetime member of the USM Alumni Association. I graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1991. I clerked for Chief Justice Ed Pittman at the Mississippi Supreme Court for a year and have practiced law ever since. I was elected judge four years ago.
Our family is active at First Baptist Church, and I am very active at Oak Grove High School with the Mock Trial Team and the debate team.
I look forward to meeting each of you. Give me a shout if you have the time!
Regards - Carol Ann
P.S. I don't know how to put a picture with my post. I'll consult with my paralegals or my teenage daughter and try to remedy this situation for the future!!
