What's with the planes?

I've lived in the Sunrise area for the past 10 years, just outside of the city limits. I have never heard as many jet planes fly over as I have recently - and very low. I heard about four tonight around 9-9:30 p.m. Does this have something to do with Camp Shelby? Anyone else in the area heard them and thought they were about to crash on top of their house like I did? What's up?

they may have finished and are using the new landing field at camp shelby. it is supposed to be for large cargo planes, also there is an aircraft fireing range just south of new augusta just to the east of hwy 24.

those huge cargo jets fly about 100 ft. above the dealership since we are so close to the dealership. they wave at you from the windows-

if i had a camcorder i would tape some of them for you.............

I've heard them, too. I only hear them at night. Is that because they only fly at night, or that it is too noisy in the day to hear them?

If they were flying during the day you would definitely hear them if they were only 100 ft up.
