Ok, so I know there are a lot of baseball fans on MH, so I created this special thread.

Of course everyone is talking about the poor scheduling of some of these early games in cold-weather cities. (i.e. Cleveland's nightmare)

Despite that, here is a column than ran today in about the Indians playing the Angels in Milwaukee:

Have I mentioned the Yankees are ROLLING. If you want to make some quick vBookie money, bet on them. Several people are already doing this.

They are doing pretty good. I am afraid to bet on them until they loose though. Its bound to happen.

Sure it is, but the odds are in your favor. You'll be a multi-millionaire before they do. http://freeweb.supereva.com/esorciccio2002/smilies/winner_first_h4h.gif

The Yankees are losing....

Does anyone else remember it being as bad in previous years as it is this year in terms of games being postponed to bad weather? Aside from the snow issues in Cleveland that canceled a four-day series, several other games have been postponed because of rain, snow and cold weather.

I have to wonder who schedules all these games and what they were thinking.

MLB is going to have some serious problems later in the year if this weather doesn't let up.....it's too early in the season to be postponing all of these games

Six more games postponed today because of weather....

I will be at the Milwaukee/Houston game on Sunday! (Woo-hoo. My second major league baseball game in two cities in less than a week!)

Please try to get them up early enough so everyone sees them in advance :)

Thank you

My goodness! The cardinals are sucking. I just love Albert Pujols and bless his heart he is in such a slump. Not only defensively but offensively too. Maybe better at the beginning of the season than in the play-offs. I still have a great deal of hope they will make it a 2nd year in a row championship. GO CARDS! Do I just get into where it says vbookie to be able to bet on N.L. baseball?

yeah, the sandman couldn't close it. Sucks for ARod to be doing this good and can't win. When he does terrible, they win the pennant.

Aaron, what in the world is going on with the Yankees?

I put the MH Vbookie curse on them. I mean, do you realized that they have lost every game since I made that statement in this thread? Before then, people were predicting them for the World Series. Let's hope they don't hunt me down like that Cubs fan. I'm telling you, don't bet big on anyone you care about winning.

LOL. I was actually thinking about that just a moment ago! I remember when you said that and they were ahead at whatever game they were playing at the time and not only did they lose that game, they have lost since.

My Brewers are doing really well this year, but I am so afraid to put down more than 100,000 grand on them. I don't want to jinx them!

Does this mean that if I say my Royals SUCK, they're gonna get better?

Crazy, isn't it? I hesitate to bet on St. Louis because almost every time I do, they lose. And I hate betting against them. We'll see if I jinxed today's game.

Bet big on their opposition, that way, you win either way. Both are a bit bittersweet, but you still win.

I've been a Braves fan since the 70's when they were awful. Been a lot of fun lately. Now we have a fun team. Bunch of newbies and some oldies but goodies. Andruw Jones is having a tough time, but look at Kelly Johnson go. Saw him come through here before they moved to Pearl. I 'bout had a stroke when we traded Marcus Giles but Kelly is a comer. Scot Thor(man) is going to have to pick it up but he's not bad. I'd have preferred to keep LaRoche. Best fielding first baseman in the NL.

Uh-oh. Don't look at the NYY score, Aaron. Don't do it! Fight the temptation.
