Sounds like a reasonable, thinking person. Thanks Astra, I enjoyed the article and it does put some things in perspective.

I try :D
I was surfing another news site and saw the story - had to laugh at how appropriate it seemed. Just goes to show every group has its annoying members and they don't go completely unnoticed.

I think we've seen some of these individuals first hand here in our little community.

Hey...there's a new guy posting in the evolution thread that may given 'em a run for their money! :)

I guess y'all missed Valk's comment on the other forum he was on, to the effect that it was too bad people couldn't be forced to give up their faith.

Oftentimes you'll hear the claim that Jesus was a socialist.
Nope. Though He advocated giving to the poor, giving of yourself, and many other nobel things, the difference is that He never forced people to give anything.
Just a side note.
Christ loves the cheerful giver. I promise you guys, I'm never cheerful during tax time.

Astra, if you're interested in a discussion of the recently held Harvad Humanists meeting by some participants send me a PM and I'll send you a URL.

I must have missed where he said forced too. Could you cite the post in question so that I may chastize him for this error?
