After canceling their European tour to allow Dusty Hill time to have work done on a benign inner ear growth the greatest band that ever played (ZZTop) has announced they are heading back to the studio!!!

They freakin' rock!! I can't wait myself. I missed their concert on the coast a couple of months ago and I was PISSED!!

When I was home at Christmas, I made my Sner hunt for the ZZ Top cds so I could load them on to my Ipod. They weren't in their cases, and they were some of the few that I wanted to make sure I had.

My Head's in Mississippi is an all-time drinkin' song! Legs is one of the first songs I ever remember hearing as a child.....just after Elvira (Oak Ridge Boys) and "For All the Gold in California" (Gatlin Brothers)

Absolutely the BEST concert I ever attended and that was back in 1983. Still kickin', I didn't make it this year but I heard they brought the house down at Jazz Fest in New Orleans a couple of weeks ago.

I just find it interesting that the only member of the band that doesn't have a beard, has the last name "Beard".

I won tickets from SL100 to their concert on the coast back in the late 80's (can't remember what year exactly.) I think I was only like 15 or 16, and my dad said I couldn't go down there without my brother, so I started listening everyday and was able to win my brother tickets as well. After all of that, I ended up getting very sick and wasn't able to go. Thank goodness I didn't, because the group of folks I would have been riding with ended up wrecking into a police car and they had been drinking so they ended up in jail that night. :smt103

I ordered ozzy's new one last night,BLACK RAIN,in case there's an ozzy fan or two here.
I am going to ozzfest this summer even though I am almost 40,hell,why not.

ZZ Top is ok, I like their music....but the one Im waiting for is AC-DC. Supposedly they are about to release a new album towards the end of year and start a world tour sometimes next year. Now thats one show I will be attending.
