Troll? What's a troll? Isn't there supposed to be a bridge involved?

This is an interesting article which allows all who view it to understand the psychological mindset of those among us who wish to acheive fame by seeing just how much ire they can draw from the 'good folk' who just want to enjoy reading and talking with others. Most of the 'discussions' I read on MH include good natured ribbing and bantering back and forth but occasionally I see where two or more people use the forum for other purposes. I paid good money years ago to have a professional tell me two things: One, it takes two to argue (duh, but I had forgotten that one from childhood); and two, when you do argue / get mad (and that's a personal emotion), you give control of yourself over to the other (in other words, 'mad' comes from within, not from what others do or say). I lurk a bunch reading what people are saying and when I see folk trying to stir things up, I shake my head and remind myself that I don't have to get involved and, if they have a problem, let it remain their problem!

Nuff said.

Thanks for that link King. I have been gone on vacation, so I'm late on reading this. One of the things the article touched on is something we're already doing here. Smaller, more manageable (sometimes self-managed) groups. Trolls will forever be a problem though, and they are extra bad here because a lot of people don't regard this site like other sites. It's personal here.
