From USAToday.com (http://www.usatoday.com/weather/news/2007-05-20-nws-retirements_N.htm):
David Johnson, the director, and John Jones, the deputy director, plan to bow out at the end of June, according to an internal memo they sent Friday to staff of the nation's weather agency.
I hope this doesn't mean that we should expect disruptions in the nation's weather. We can only hope that the NWS has a clear succession plan in order to maintain this country's diverse and unique weather patterns.

Silly, SoMiss. Everybody knows the Japanese and their little wind machine control the weather.

I wish that Monsoon Maker, Max Mayfield would give it up! He's done a horrible job of halting hurricanes.
