Well, ladies and gents, if you walk outside "rat now" and look to the East South East....or about 110 degrees from North Azimuth you will see an awesome Moon Phase. I don't know a whole lot about the , but it sure is an awesome site to behold tonight. It reminds me of camping out on Round Island out in the Mississippi Sound.

About 6 or 7 years ago when I had my old Wellcraft V-20(boat) my brother and his and my friend decided on a Friday afternoon that we would camp on old Round for the night.....Well gettin' off of work at 5' p.m. didn't help our daylight situation any bein' as I had to drive 2 hours to the boat ramp at the West end of Beach Boulv. in Pascagoula. (By the way this was in November) After the boat launch and fiddlin' our way around the channel and foolin' with the GPS for the techie side of it WE WERE OFF!!!! at a grand 8 mph.......couldn't see diddly.....lights in the background from the Shipyard...2 million CandlePower Q-Beam just lit the fog up right on the water like it was a West Coast Fog Out in November(and in the Sound...JEEZZZZ LOUISE????)...

I finally let my brother drive and I told him were to go as I sat on an ice chest in the back of the boat and watched the shipyard for a navigational Icon(what a mistake, I ain't good at thinkin' backwards)......that's about the time we almost ran over a SailBoat..........
That dude was pissed, and he was anchored..well out of the channell and in the right, but nothin' a few more beers couldn't fix. Offered our apologies and took our scornin' like men, (but when we were out of site, well, he got this:roflwtf::smt098).........(I call it the "Silent Treatment")

Needless to say we made it to Round, we anchored on the South West side inside the jetty and when we put all the lights out low and behold we gandered at a moon that looked just about what you can see "rat now".
It sure is a beautiful site to behold.
Thanks All

It wasn't a good fishin' weekend at all. When we woke up the next morning the wind was comin' out of the North at about 15-20. It made for some rough ridin' until about noon. After that it slicked off like glass. It was a great weekend for boatin' and campin' though.
I won't ever forget the image of that guy raisin' hell at us on that sailboat that night. You couldn't really see well with the lights from the shipyard behind us. Plus we weren't lookin' for a light on a mast that was 30 ft. tall either.

Well, all I can say is that in two weeks I'll be fly-fishing on the south fork of the South Platte river in Colorado, and when I land that monster 24 inch trout, I'm gonna think of you.

And in July, when I'm fishing the marshes around Jekyll Island, GA, and I'm reeling in whiting and bluefish, I might remember who you are.

Why go to Colorado when some of the best Trout fishing in the world is only about 8 or 9 hours away on the White River in Flippin', AR. A few years back the World Record brown trout was caught there, I beleive it was about 42 or 44 pounds. Lot's of nice size rainbows to be caught also. You just have be careful when the open the gates on the dam (Bull Shoal's). You can get in a bind quick. I fished it for 3 days. I got a guide the first day then rented a skiff the next two. Maybe it's about time I go back.

And in July, when I'm fishing the marshes around Jekyll Island, GA, and I'm reeling in whiting and bluefish, I might remember who you are.
When you get back let me know it their marshes are as "oystery" as they look on TV. Man them dudes got some Oysters happenin' around there and South Carolina.....
Their bluefish are alot better than our bluefish. I don't like our blue-fish. They always mess up my trout fishin' on the Surfside of the islands.

I gotta go to Denver for some "training". I'm going a week early to do the fishing, ghost town visiting, spotlighting of some mule deer/elk, etc. Hell, I might even try to shoot Bigfoot while I'm there. The Georgia trip, we're to meet with my wife's cousin and her husband/kids, they just bought a 20 ft. cc, so I gotta learn the east coast fishing, I think it's about like ours, not sure though.

Cool, I think the East Coast in that area is somewhat similar to ours here. Probably better and a few different species though.

The symbol is the ichthus.
Stole this off Wiki, but it's true,
Ichthus is a Christian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian) acronym of Greek (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek) words: I=Jesus, Ch=Christ, Th=Theou (God's), U=Uios (Son), S=Soter (Savior). Thus, IChThUS means "Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior".

O.K. so I started readin' wiki about it....I noticed the Female Symbolism....then I went on down scanning and noticed the DARWIN picture and all of a sudden the Flashes of Valkhorn started poppin' back in my head and I realized then that this very symbol can be used on about 38 recent threads in the Forums...amazing and puzzling at the same time...who would have thunk it?

Thanks Ford and SouthChic,

I found this one while looking on a page for gag gifts.
I got my brother's soon to be daughter (soon as the missus squeezes it out) a t-shirt there that says "All mommy wanted was a back rub."

Aren't the islands great!!! I love being out on Cat late at night and just looking up at the beautiful sky. Little wind in my face and the lights of Gulfport harbor on the horizon. You just have to be there to understand. Definately something that everyone should experience at least once.

You are most definately right. The Gulf Islands are a treat in itself. I always like to go in the very early spring, the dead beat of the summer, and the late fall. Cool, Very Hot and nasty, and then Cool again. It makes me realize that ole Mother Nature has a very nasty side. Makes you :bowdown:at her power. Man, she has pissed me off and then made me stare in total amazement. I think I will make me one of those Photobucket deals or make a Gallery here at MH so everyone can at least see parts of what I have had the priveledge to see.

That old heifer...she took alot of folk's boat's, my boss's boat was one of em', beleive it or not I have only been on a sailboat 1 time. I will in my older age get me one or go out on a charter.

The great thing about Cat is that it has shelter in Smuggler's Cove and South Bayou on the south end of the island. I have seen many sailboats taking shelter there for the night along with the overnight fishermen. I love to flounder in South Bayou also because it seems to hold the bigger fish. In the early mornings it's also a great places to do some speck fishing. Katrina did some major damage to the trees there killing virtually everything. Left a few boats on the island also.

You oughta' gas up and take a gander at the rest of the Isles.....the Trees are virtually Dead...action needs to be taken and I ain't heard hide nor' hair of any re-plantin'. If it's been in the papers I have missed it...Maybe the good ole Uncle Sam can let us in on a grant...say 100 million that will let us go drink beer and plant the hell out of Pine trees and sea-oats..and let us ride our 4-wheelers while we do it.....but, somebody, somewhere will think thats absurd and they know somebody who knows somebody that knows their aunt's exboyfriends brother's mother's step-dad's uncle who was married to a friend of theirs and that is all she wrote.

Hey Mr. Gene Taylor, let's plant OUR Leeward Islands back, with trees....
