Haven't done much bream fishing this year. If the moon is full then you should be able to find some.

just go stand at the edge of a pond, put some bacon fat on your bream hook and wait as they jump on it

Steak fat works better. Especially if it has been marinated overnight.

We fish for "high-end" Sunfishes! They have all been to private school and have moral standards and have been sort of domesticated if you will. See, the certain moral Sunfishes have a higher standard of living than most other Sunfishes. Please refer to the following list...in no particular order.
1. Petal Sunfishes: These Sunfishes live in man-made impoundments dotted across a tax-hungry administrative city. These can be caught on bacon fat.
2. Petal-Burg Sunfishes: These Sunfishes reside in the Leaf River and will virtually take any kind of fat or insect they can get their little fins on.
3. Oak Grove Sunfishes: While more studies need to take place to gather pertinent data about this unique species, so far they only like the upper class cuts of lean beef. These Sunfishes can be found in man made impoundments on the West side of Hattiesburg. They have also been spotted driving BMW's around the Mall on the weekends, but this rumor has not been confirmed.
4.Canebrake Sunfishes: Aside from dodging golfballs this is the most unique species of them all. Only aged, stuffed, and marinated Filet Mignon for this upper-class species. Normally they can be caught from 9 a.m until 5 p.m., they are suckers though for a high-end offering on top-end light tackle on Friday evenings. These Sunfishes can easily be identified from the other's because they have a nice even tan and look as though they are royalty.
5. Perry County Sunfishes: These are best caught by lighting and then throwing a stick of dynamite in any pond, lake, river, or mudhole in Perry County. These Sunfishes are most easily identified by a rebel flag tatoo on their dorsal fin. If you do happen to catch one of these be careful because the whole family will attack without warning.
I hope this clears up any untruths about the types of bait and methods to catching our local Sunfishes.
Sincerely,
Fish-Bait

Actually dollfus I am a Pascagoula-ite or Pascagoula-ian.
Pascagoula Sunfishes: These Sunfishes live in the beautiful black waters of the Pascagoula River System. These are crafty little critters with a very diversified culture. On the upper class part of this little species you have to use the Canebrake method, but with the added effect of a seafood portion on your hook to make it more appetizing. On the lower end of these species any little fiddler crab or grasshopper will do the trick!

Oh I'm familiar with Pascagoula. My uncle had a fishing camp back on one of the myriad creeks that run off the river there. Spent many a wonderful week and weekend there. And I think that's Pasca-hooligan. I could be wrong.:-D

Well of course you can't ALWAYS, See the B.S. spill is an advanced tactic only used as a diversion when along with fishin' partners so that only the elite and well trained will, and can, and DO catch more fish!

Fishermen lie? No, no, no. I would NEVER self incriminate.
