Lott: 'I've already offended everybody'
By MARIA RECIO
SUN HERALD WASHINGTON BUREAU
WASHINGTON --
What does a fence on the United State-Mexico border have to do with goats?
Sen. Minority Whip Trent Lott, R-Miss., was talking to reporters Wednesday about the immigration bill, when he said, "If the answer is 'build a fence' I've got two goats on my place in Mississippi. There ain't no fence big enough, high enough, strong enough, that you can keep those goats in that fence."
"Now people are at least as smart as goats," Lott continued. "Maybe not as agile. Build a fence.
We should have a virtual fence. Now one of the ways I keep those goats in the fence is I electrified them. Once they got popped a couple of times they quit trying to jump it."
"I'm not proposing an electrified goat fence," Lott added quickly, "I'm just trying, there's an analogy there."

Uhhhhhhhh, what was Lott on when he said that one? Bush must have given him some advice before that quote!!
Build a wall...let's call it the firing wall...you get past it...you get shot in front of it!

Don't you see....we're to stupid to get his "analogy" just like we're to stupid to understand this immigration bill. I will not bash Trent Lott's character. I'm just really disappointed in him for his support of the bill. The fact that he's offended (in his own words) "everybody" should tell him something. Maybe this bill just isn't what the American people want. All I can say about his comments in this article is :confusedp.

If you are referring to the fact that this fence won't be enough then I agree. Just a strange way of getting it across.
The clip on WLOX tonight showed Lott on the floor asking "After 35 years do I not hold any credibility with my constituents?"
If he'd build that electric goat fence on the Rio Grande, he might get some from me.

Politicians molest goats. Why? Because they can.

Feinstein might push for fairness doctrine
WASHINGTON, June 24 (UPI) -- U.S. Sen. Diane Feinstein, D-Calif., said Sunday she is "looking at" the possibility of reviving the fairness doctrine for U.S. broadcasters.
Feinstein, speaking on "Fox News Sunday" with Sen. Trent Lott, R-Miss., said talk radio in particular has presented a one-sided view of immigration reform legislation being considered by the Senate.
...
"This is a very complicated bill," said Feinstein. "Most people don't know what's in this bill. Therefore, to just have one or two things dramatized and taken out of context, such as the word amnesty -- we have a silent amnesty right now, but nobody goes into that. Nobody goes into the flaws of our broken system."
Once again from our "Leader ship" we are too stupid to read or comprehend. So what is their answer "The Fairness Doctrine (censorship?)
This includes Internet use also, I believe you will have to be bipolar with split personalities to post.

Right. What's so ridiculous about this is that i'm sure any talk radio show would be more than glad to let them come on and debate the immigration bill with them. They also have four major news outlets to discuss it, so what are they complaining about? If people aren't hearing their side of the immigration debate then it's not talk radio's fault it's the politicians. They have every opportunity to plead their case. The fact that they are always discussing the bill in closed door session lets me know they have something to hide anyway. This whole fairness doctrine thing is going to get ugly.
