we have redone the kitchen when we moved in a year ago, and i have a 27" drop in range (stove/oven) and a 18 cu ft refridgerator......

i know that both still work, but don't need them- they have been sitting on the back porch for a year now-

on the down side, the dogs ate the cord to the refridgerator, so someone is going to have to re-wire it if they want it to work-

i also have the washing machine that i replaced tuesday in my living room. i really don't want to just "throw them away", especially since the washing machine just needs a cord-

my question is- does anyone know of someone who i can call to come and haul this stuff away? it's' time to let some of my junk go-

Carsalesguy, Christian Services will be happy to come & get it. They are in the phone book.:)

Well, I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I was going to ask a similar question. I had an oven related catastrophe yesterday, and now have two old stovetops/ovens to dispose of. Someone told me they pick up big stuff like that once a week in Petal, but there's some junk in front of a house down the road where someone moved out, and it's been setting there for two months, so I'm not sure if that's true.

Good luck.

I think Christian Services or Salvation Army will pick them up.

Mac, as far the stuff at the abandoned house, I am guessing that the past owners didn't ask them to pick it up. So, maybe Christian Services won't w/o permission.

Thanks for posting this -- I will be getting rid of a cooktop as well (in perfect shape) and somebody at church told me that Christian Services will take it in a heartbeat. I also have a convection wall oven that the control panel is fried on, though the oven itself probably works.

Can you take old appliances to the dump in Petal?
