Ive always liked Flint Creek down in Wiggins...close to home, cheap, good fishing and has water faucets in the primative camping areas.

Little Black Creek has primitive and RV camping, as well as cabins for rent.

I'll be down there next weekend.

Cypress Creek Landing and campground is a US Forest Service managed campground on the banks of Black Creek about an hour away from Hattiesburg. They have running water and bathrooms.

You may also want to consider Jellystone in Robert, LA also. Tons of kid friendly activites and a pool.

Flynt Creek is also one of my favs too. Beautiful sites with a huge lake. Fishing and swimming areas.

Red, let me know when you may want to go and maybe we can get together. I have a pop-up and the yours and mine could entertain themselves. :)

www.waterparkin.com (http://www.waterparkin.com) - Pat Harrison Waterway District
www.mdwfp.com (http://www.mdwfp.com) - MS Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks

Both operate well run parks within a two or three hour drive of the 'burg.

Flint Creek is where we go for a week every year for a family reunion. We don't camp out; we rent the cabins on the lake, and they are pretty nice.

Big 10 Water Park is pretty nice. I've been there a couple of times.
The actual name is
Pat Harrison Waterways #10
Big Creek Water Park
But, everybody calls it "Big 10".

Here (http://phwd.net/parks/big%20creek/default.asp)

It's out US 84, west of Laurel, between Laurel and Collins. Just follow the signs.:)

You sound like me, Daisy! I used to love to camp and canoe, but these days I'm like Phyllis Diller "my idea of roughing it is no room service!"

(Actually, I'd like to camp in the fall when it's cool.)
