With a lot of these sites, they promise a lot but I never really take them seriously until they get really popular. This one just got bought by Google, so it must be doing something right. Apparently, it gives you a phone number and when friends dial it, it takes them to your real phone number. They say it's good if your constantly moving and changing numbers, but I could see other situations where not giving out your real number could be useful.

I like the concept, but how long would it take for the technology to be developed that would affiliate the numbers and get to your real number?

Well, I'm not sure that it's meant to be a privacy service. I just said it could be used as that. If someone is really looking that hard for your number, they can find it now. I'm not exactly sure what this offers, but am interested since Google has decided to buy it. I'm going to try to sign up later to see what they do.
