A study links teen smoking to stress caused by Hurricane Katrina. :smt103 I don't see it.

a recent survey has recently revealed that being exposed to me increases your chances of paranoia....

Hey, you try to go without MySpace or Facebook for 2 weeks while the power is out. That will even drive adults to smoke.

hmmmmm wonder what drove me to smoke when I was 19?

Isn't my fault I smoke, it's the old smokers fault. I started smoking cause when I worked for "Happy Acres" nursing home....I got tired of chasing the shaking heads, to light the cig. So I just lit it up myself and then gave it to the old folks....it was easier for them and me. I just couldn't handle the stress.

I don't think I could go two weeks without "MY Hattiesburg". It may cause me to start drinking if we have another Katrina.

A recent survey released says all surveys are stupid and not worthy of a read.

Alfred McAlister is a fruitcake who got a sizable grant from the government (our tax money) for the U of Texas Behavioral Sciences dept. , stuck the money in his pocket, interviewed some kids and wrote a report.

You should have saved that for the scientific report AFTER you got a grant to study it. You gotta learn how to work the system. Sounds a helluva lot more plausable than the Hurricane Katrina blather.

Hurricane Katrina caused me to drink...

Well, so did the O.J. car chase...
So did the Bernie Goetz subway shooting...
MTV not playing music videos anymore...
That time I stubbed my toe on the bedroom door....

Can I get a grant to study my drinking behavior as it relates to things that may or may not go wrong in my life, whether or not my happiness quota has been substantially fulfilled, or if I can get a date to the prom?

Too bad we can't tax hurricanes and tropical storms, or apply fees to them for that matter. If we could they wouldn't come back through the gulf anymore. They would just try and sneak across the border from Mexico......

Stress from Katrina has made me a compulsive hoarder of toilet paper, coffee, instant oats and little pudding cups. And water. I'm all set for the next one.

Don't forget MRE's. I still have four cases of those things.

Katrina taught me to help our fellow man. I'm so proud to be from the MS Gulf Coast. I've never seen people work together so well. I think Nagin and Blanco are still trying to figure out who caused the storm! :) The stress from Katrina caused my grandma to "lose it" and she died Jan 1, 06...happy new year... :(

I'm sorry about your grandmother -- that probably happened to more people than we'll ever know about.

Yep. Maybe yet another reason to stay in Greenville, or move to Indiana or Iowa or New Mexico.

You know...I heard more of that stuff after the storm than I can ever remember...my response was alway something like this- I can go to Cali for the earthquakes, the midwest for the tornados, or the northeast for the lovely blizzards! :smt118

At least here we can know it's coming a week in advance!
