I remember this fish house on Broadway called 'King Catfish'. My mom would take us there after sunday church. They had some great green tomato relish. I'd never had any before then, and I haven't found any comparable since. That was some great stuff!

Thanks Hawkeye. Do you have any recipes for watermelon rind preserves?
Dad would do those when the watermelon rind was real thick---ummm, good. He is not living or I would ask.

They go great with meat dishes, especially wild foul.
Even duck meat?

Thanks Hawkeye! I am going to try your recipe tonight. I have been looking for one and prefer using one from someone that has tried it rather than out of a recipe book!

OMG, I'm salivating right now - I love peas and tomato relish and a great pone of cornbread (crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside)!!!
hmmmmm.......I've been eating peas w/tomato all week! Gotta love fresh veggies. Broke down and added the sinful cornbread the other night. Lordy, lordy, it sure is mighty fine eating. Mom says butterbeans should be in this weekend. Please, I'm soooo waiting! :)
