There are some nasty clouds moving north from the Purvis area.

Oak Grove should be getting some rain within 10-15 minutes.

Well, it took closer to 30 minutes, but the rain is here in my little corner of Oak Grove.

I hope it's a good soaking rain. Despite yesterday's rain, our yard still needs some water. :p

Hawk, you can go inside, take off the feathers and bells, and oh, I dunno, take a nap or sumthin' -- I am getting some serious rain. Hope those holes I dug alongside the carport alleviate the flooding a little bit.

I think his rain-dancing has only been working seriously for Marion County. We've had rain every day for over a week now. :smt118

The "big" part of the storm will be just north of the Burg. But Prentiss, etc., will be getting strong winds, hail, lightening. Getting dark here again, so maybe another one behind it. I'll letcha know when I know. At a big ol'whopping 26.4. ;)

Here in the Weather Channel's West Hattiesburg :-D part of Lamar County, our electricity kept going off, with lots of wind gusts. I don't think I've seen the trees bending like that since Katrina.

Wind gusts like that probably brought down some Katrina-weakened trees, or limbs at the very least.

Wow, the wind got bad here about an hour or so ago. The top out of one of our trees, which is alive, blew out and barely missed my kids playhouse! I'd been pissed if it had hit it............not as bad as my kids though.
