Anybody else seriously considering applying for an alligator permit? We got one that hangs out behind our camp in Vancleave, I might try for the permit and get him, he's pretty big.

Those permits are VERY site specific and if I'm not mistaken most of them are issued for the reservoir area near Jackson... Maybe someone else would know more about it cause I'm only repeating what I heard my cuz talkin about with another Game Officer.

I checked the MDWFP website. This year they're issuing them for the Reservoir area outside Jackson as well as the Pacagoula River and creeks in Jackson County.

My father drew a permit last year at the Reservoir. If anybody gets one, make sure you know all the laws and what you can and cannot have in the boat. They were checked 3 times by the possum police.
