Anybody watching the Live Earth concert? I didn't get home 'til late, but Bravo has been showing it non-stop since I got here.

There's been some great bands - Roger Waters (Pink Floyd), Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, lots of good stuff.

I think Bon Jovi was scheduled to perform. I saw him live in concert Thursday night. HE WAS AWESOME!

I attempted to watch some of it, but I couldn't really hear that much of it over Becca jamming out to it with her keyboard and play microphone. Some of it took place at the coast coliseum I believe.

I did my part to save the planet by keeping the TV off, thus saving valuable electricity and reducing my carbon footprint. :smt105

All day, while I shelled butterbeans and peas. (Doing my part to save the Planet) I'm with you on Roger Waters. What a show. BUT - the show stealing act, IMO, would have been Keith Urban. What a talent this boy has. He did the Stones better than the Stones, and then, solo on the following, did a guitar rift that would have to be in a league of its own.

The boy needs to really really break out of his metronomic country gig and spread his guitar wings. I think. :smt105

In Milwaukee. He was awesome. He is only doing a few select cities this year and a new tour will begin next year.

Did they really say we need to kill all cows? I always thought the whole cow fart thing was bunk but if Al Gore says it's true, it's gotta be.... I mean, the man invented the freaking internet.

Al Gore has done a good job of alarming people by focusing on pieces of truth and creating a distorted, scary view, and I don't want do anything that might potentially put another dollar in his pocket and/or help his cause.

Glenn Beck does a good job of pointing out the giant holes in Al Gore's argument, as well as highlighting what his real motivations are. Take this clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DI0TFx3lFT0), for example.

Gore needs to worry about what kind of "warming" his kid is doing. Don't try to save the world when your own family is falling apart.
Plus, this is all just a scheme to fill his pockets. He's paid like $100,000 for each speaking engagement. He and his buddy Clinton are great at fleecing the public.

Al Gore has done a good job of alarming people by focusing on pieces of truth and creating a distorted, scary view . . .

That sounds familiar. Ummm.

Unless and until Gore declares War On The Earth and commits billions of taxpayer dollars (not to mention lives) to financing same, I suppose I can live with his agenda.

You really need to education yourself on what politico's like Gore really want. Have you ever looked at what they Kyoto Treaty will do to the US economy. It may not cost you direct tax dollars but it will cripple the US economy. Very scary stuff.

Which US economy would this be? "Cripple" the economy? Don't look now, but the economy, at least for middle-income wage-earners, is limping already. How Kyoto would do to us what it will not do to the balance of the industrialized world on board that treaty, is . . not quite sound.

Re: my education vis-a-vis politicians, you'll need to trust me on this, but I have a pretty good clue about political conduct and the difference between vacant rhetoric and plausible action.
