i have a 3 year old mini short hair black and tan doxie named Harley that we're breeding with my sis's long hair mini black and tan this fall or with my sis-in-law's long hair mini tan....

i also have a 2 year old black lab chow mix named Spanky.

i'm a HUGE fan of shelter/rescue dogs.

Yey! I have a jack russell- Brandi. I think she's on speed and steroids because she's built like a horse and can't stay still for a second! I also have a pit bull- Layla. She's my big fat baby! Her hobbies include sleeping, sleeping, laying in the sun, sleeping, and lounging. Brandi will stand up to any dog and make sure they know she's the boss! Layla is a crybaby who's afraid of EVERYTHING

Brandi is 4 yrs old and Layla is 3!
Got Brandi from a breeder (I'll never do that again) and got Layla from the HSSM.

neither spanky nor harley came from the shelter, however i have in the past adopted from a shelter.

spanky was removed by myself from a BAD situation. he was the runt of a litter of 8, and was in the 3rd litter of 8 that was at the same house at the same time. spanky's litter was in worst shape. i wanted to take 'em all. my mom took me to this house before cubby and i got married to get a yard dog so i wouldn't be home alone with no "alarm system." he was seriously malnourished and dehydrated, had sores on his back "knees" and smelled really bad. i picked him up, looked at the face, and said to my mom, "he needs a baf." she didn't say it, but she thought i was going to see him die in the first week. BUT! lots of cold water, puppy chow, puppy wormer, and lots and lots of love and attention has made him the happy boy he is today!!!

harley's previous parents just couldn't afford to keep her anymore so she lives with us now!
