Every time I go to the vet, there are at least 4 or 5 flyers on the bulletin board w/ pics of puppies that someone is trying to sell or give away. You might try popping in to check at a few local vets, and maybe ask them while you're there.

Also, Southern Pines Animal Shelter has lots of little puppies and dogs that are going to be put to sleep if nobody adopts them, so at least go look there before you make a decision. They have more than just mutts a lot of times. (Not that there's anything wrong w/ mutts..) They have them listed on their website, but there are always LOTS more at the shelter that don't get put up on the website for whatever reason. Click here to browse the pets online. Thank you! The manager told me that there is a shelter behind the arbor village complex, do you know if that's the same one that you're talking about???

I'm not sure... Southern Pines is off 49 on the north end of town. There is an apt. complex there, if I'm not mistaken. Do you know where that building is that has been a bunch of different clubs over the years? It's near Roper's, I think. It's not hard to find at all-- I just can't envision what it's close to so I can tell you...

Go to this site (http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/southernpines.html) and scroll down for the address, then MapQuest it.

Turn and go down beside Antonelli College. The club use to be Senior Frogs now it's Club Memories(I think). Southern Pines is on the right, right past the apartment complex.

Carsalesguy, you have a dog named Weenie??? My 9 year old reg. red short hair mini doxie is named Miss Weenie. That is not her reg. name, but that is what we call her!:)
