One of the guys that sells on the HB side of the 42 bypass bridge had some great maple syrup and cane also. Been a while since I got mine (it lasts a while). Just looked at the jars to see if label but no. Sorry. The guy was out of AL though. Might have a card i'll look. it is good. nothing like it with some cat head biscuits!

I buy pure maple syrup. It is thin but I love the taste. Otherwise I'd make my own maple syrup with simple syrup and maple flavoring. Look online in La. With all the sugar cane they have, there's got to be a mill around N.O. Might could mail order it.

My father-in-law knows a feller that's got one of those mills or presses that you hook up a mule to, he walks around in a circle while pressing the cane, we was lookin' at gettin' it, as the ol' man don't use it no mo'. Of course, we wasn't gonna use it to make syrup though.........:alchoholic:

We had a cane mill 9 years ago but had to give it up after my mom passed. We'd have a "syrup sop" with hot biscuits that would melt in your mouth. I'll see if some of the people I know are gonna do it this year in Covington County. This is a Some fine syrup made still with the mule driven mill.Lot's of work but lots of good times.Yeah I've had Sugar cane Liquor. Crap what a weird buzz.
