Good morning all! Here is grand #2 watching TV this morning. We have big plans today. We and grand #1 are going see the Ratatouille movie today. She can hardly wait. Grand #1 is coming back home with Nana to stay the week if we don't have surgery!

Grand #2's mommy is @ the emergency room right now. She's an RN and thinks it might be her gall bladder. Lets hope not! :smt022
Here is a picture of some veg's the earthy old hippie from California gave me last night. Ummm, see those decorative looking gourds...LOL....well he thinks the cucumbers and squash cross mixed and came up like that.

So me, not knowing better either, tried to slice one up. I wanted to see how it looked on the inside. LOL it was hard a gourd. I really think it is a gourd :-D:-D
So what do you all think? Is that possible and if so why was it soooo tough to cut?
Either way I'm not eating it!!!

They charged because they had inserted the IV. I know cause I worked hospital. And wither you use it or not you are going to be charged. I also know once they break open a crash CART for a code, it use to be $2000.00 probably more than tripled by now! I was charded $6.00 for each sanitary napkin, when I had a hysterectomy in 86. That is how they keep the hospital going.
Oh and one other thing. FG hospital is filthy. It was in the ER, and the first room they sent her too....so they had her move to another room. The Dr lost us, cause the floor nurse, did not inform surgery of her room change and we were told nothing about her surgery....no update calls....they surgery unit and the Dr were apologizing all over the place. The ones who should have were not. They were just snooty, guess I mad them mad about the dirty room.
Going in @ 11:00 to pick her up! She had 2 girl friends stay the night with her.

eyescene I hope your sick one is feeling better today after the surgery...gall bladder and a historectomy is the best two things that ever happened to me...BOTH made me feel like a new person. Tell her to take it easy and not to do alot of bending or pick up anything heavier than a plate of food for a few days...

Hope all went smooth and she's back in the saddle soon. My squaw is tough - sheep wouldn't even hit the morphine plunger button and i knew we'd have to pay for it, so I said don't hurt baby, use dat thing. She didn't, they charged over $300 for it anyway, and prolly sold it on the blackmarket :p. The squaw was back on her pony within 3 days.
Later when I had my bendix out, I used de hole damn ting whether I wanted it or not ;)
Hawk I'm so sorry I forgot my manners and I just want to say THANK YOU for the well wishes! We are home and doing OK!!!

Thanks Maggie she is doing OK and the Dr said she might get to return to work by Monday. She only sits at a desk and walks around.
