what's with the poop?

What is with these people who let their dogs out of their front door so they can go over to the neighbor's yard and poop all over the place? I am always with Rufus when he is outside and I always pick up his waste. I can think of nicer things sticking to my shoe than dog poo and having poop fly around the lawnmover isn't exactly my idea of fun either.
And while I am at it: if your dog really has to go out at 4 in the morning, please make sure he does not yap his head off and take him back inside once he is done. I have not slept through the night since we came here :smt022

WELCOME TO THE SOUTH! I am with you though...I don't understand why people do this...:( When we lived in Picayune (a little town about 50 miles south of here on the MS-LA border) Our yard was approx. 1 acre, as was all my neighbors. We all had FENCED in yards....what did my neighbor do? Let both her dogs out the carport door so they could come over and poop on my front door mat!

It made me so dang mad! One day I was sick of it...I'd forget and come out at night without turning on the lights and step in it or else I would get company and there would be big piles right in my door! (one dog was a german shepard, one a poodle) I got me a bucket and a shovel...everyday I would scoop it up and put it in a bucket....about a week later I got pissed at them because even though I had asked them to keep their dogs in their yard, they kept turning them loose in mine..I took the bucket of poop and pitched it at their kitchen/carport door. When they came out in the dark and stepped in it...they got the idea.... it didn't happen again!!!! Revenge and spite is GOOD sometimes!!! :)

These were well respected people who had major jobs at the test site..it wasn't like they were the scum of the earth who didn't know better.

this is why i love havin 40ish acres to myself. only dachshund dookey in my front yard, and she goes in the bushes.

Everybody and his uncle has at least one dog here. I wouldn't even know where to start depositing all the poo piles I find in the yard :( - I guess I could go by size and eliminate all the little ankle-biters :-D
