You did tell him that an exercise ball and a foam mat is a lot more useful right?

Should I have told him that? :) I've had a big ole' ball in the house before, it didn't work out well with 3 boys. One of my favorite knick knacks got knocked over in the living room.

Yes, I've looked at reviews for every ab machine and apparatus out there. Studies have been done to see which exercises target the ab muscles the best. When it comes down to it, a crunch on a exercise ball and the bicycle exercise on a floor mat are two of the best you can do. For motivation, you can get a ab program tape using a ball or a mat or both to go along with. Also, if he is getting this because he's fat around his stomach, then it's for the wrong reason. Ab exercises don't target fat around your stomach. In fact, since they add muscle, they can make it worse. He needs to do cardio exercises that keeps his heart rate up to burn fat like running, biking, rowing, etc. It's also been found that full-body workouts with weights can burn enough calories to get your weight down.

I'll stand on his feet and count for him for 40 bucks an hour. 2 hour minimum though! j/k

The first time I saw one of those ab machines I thought we were in for something really fun. Then she starts doing real exercise on it ??????? I knew that girl was crazy when I met her...

yeah, we were in BWW one night and they had all these infomercials on for the ablounge, that bean shaped rocker, all that stuff. its interesting what "other uses" those things could have.

Pinky, sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I was napping for work and I'm working now. The one I have is like new if you want it.
