Hey everbody'!

Me and the 5 year old finally got back on the whaler today, yippee! We had a ball explorin' the Bouie! We went from the Glendale bridge up to the top pit. When we got to the top pit the youngun' decided he wanted to go back to our favorite sandbar and swim and what-not, so, we did! It was his day today. I sat out in the water bout' neck deep and he ran and jumped to me from the sandbar prolly 200 times. Now he is pooped out and so am I. We did wet a line. We caught only one soft-shelled turtle that was properly realeased. It was a lazy day for me. The river was pretty much muddied up, not many folks around. I only saw 3 boats today, the others must have been farther up the river cuz' there was 6 vehicles with trailers including mine at the ramp. It was a most memorable day today. Even the little waterfall that has always at least trickled was in full glory today. I invite you all to my gallery to look at the pics! (http://www.myhattiesburg.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=79)

No, not really. It's only 15 ft. ong here is a pic (http://www.myhattiesburg.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=71&pos=1). It's really a marsh fishin' boat, but when the river is up a little I can go explorin'!

I got a bunch of em' posted. The ones you looked at in the same gallery were speckled trout and flounder. I got a bunch of galleries now, prolly 5 or so.

If ya'll can't tell I enjoy posting about my outdoors experiences and I really like to share the pics so you folks can get an idea about where we have been and what the scenery is like! I want to thank everyone for looking and I hope you folks enjoy it.

Love the Bouie....my grandparents live on the Bouie, just a rock's toss from a legendary 49 establishment....spent a lot of hours on those sandbars as a kid....
