Seeing a comment by eyescene about eating in the school cafeteria reminded me how great those school rolls were.
Does anybody have any easy homemade sourdough bread or yeast roll recipes?
Another recipe I would love... anybody had those oatmeal raisin cookies at Heavenly Ham? I don't know what's different, but those cookies are awesome.

I did? oh well I don't remember, but I am not good with yeast rolls. I'm even bad at the frozen ones you buy in the store. I had very poor results. So sorry I can't help there. But I do make these when we have a large group over.
Beer Rolls
1 (12 oz.) can beer, room temperature
3 c. Bisquick mix
3 tbsp. sugar
Mix above and place in greased muffin pans. Add beer slowly (will foam) and stir well.
Let set 20 minutes. Spoon in to a greased muffin tin 3/4 full
Bake at 400 degrees until brown.
A perfect yeast-type roll. ummmm good!
Makes about 12 count

In the what's for dinner thread... didn't you say something about Shepard's Pie in school cafeteria, or was that someone else? Sorry! :)

Anyone for a good bagel recipe?
I bet if you ask Robert St. John, he could figure out a great recipe. A couple of years ago, he wrote the funniest article about the rolls at Thames.

I have searched high and low for you today, but can not find it in any of the copycat secret recipes but here is a link to the search (http://www.google.com/search?num=20&hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=active&rlz=1B2GGGL_enUS203US203&q=copycat+secret+recipes+&btnG=Search) if you want to try. It must be new or something no one is interested in. :smt102

Any one heard of the friendship bread mix where you add instant potatoes and share it every so often. I did that a long time ago. Now those were good too!
