Does anyone use OLD BAYŽ Seasoning (http://www.mccormick.com/productdetail.cfm?ID=6216) if so where can we buy it at locally? I have seen for years where this was used in recipes but I have never tried it. As you can see on the link it is good on just about anything, even pop-corn which I don't eat anymore cause it changed....but that's another thread.

That's where I got it last as well. It is a great spice and I like using it to do low country boils when I want a slightly less cajun flavor to it.

Try this sometime when boiling shrimp.
Just use some salt in the boiling water. After you dump the shrimp and they return to a boil, cut off the fire and give them a 1 minute soak. Then drain good.
Now, sprinkle a liberal portion of Old Bay in the bottom of an ice chest. Add a layer of hot steaming shrimp and sprinkle more Old Bay. Keep layering them in the ice chest this way and close the lid for 30 minutes, then eat.
Sounds great, Hawk. Do you prefer Old Bay to Zatarains powder?

Sounds great, Hawk. Do you prefer Old Bay to Zatarains powder? I always used the liquid Zatarains. Never tried it in the powders.

We use both the liquid and poweder Zatarains on shrimp when we boil them... I also like Tony Chazaries (sp) spices...as far as Old Bay goes, I bought a can at Sunflower just a few weeks ago...I prefer it in my crab cakes.

I use both liquid and powder too on my seafood. I also add cut up lemons and onions.
