I voted about 10:30 am. Turn-out at that time indicates only about 40-45% voter turn out in the Lake Serene Box. Kinda light!

I voted this morning on my way to work (the poll is a block from my house) & I was the only voter there, so maybe turnout will be light, but you can't force folks to go to the polls.
On the other hand I am in a heavily Democratic neighborhood, (We keep electing Triple D) so maybe it's a good thing.

I voted and the dadblamed machine wasn't working right. I had to call a poll worker over and after she punched delete or go back or something like that several times it finally came up and said my ballot had been cast. I don't mind the machies, but that's the second time I've voted and the machine wasn't working right.

I voted at 7:16a.m. this morning and I'm happy to say that all went well. The machines worked perfectly and there seemed to be a fairly decent crowd, considering it was so early in the morning. I hope the rest of the day continued with people exercising their responsibilities as citizens of this great state/nation!:clap:

P.S.
Good luck, John!!!!!

I voted in the REPUBLICAN primary...

Thats right, Judge Pepper, Ike Brown, et al. I voted in the wrong primary. Kiss it.

I wholeheartedly support the following candidates, and urge you to do the same:

Fillingane for 101
Kittrell for District Attorney
Beam for County Attorney
Anderson for Justice Court
Joe Bounds for Supervisor
Geske for Coroner
Patterson for Tax
Purvis for Constable

I voted at the precinct in beautiful downtown Oak Grove. :-D

Tents. Signs. People waving signs. Signs mounted on trucks and cars.

Did I mention people waving signs?

What a spectacle, these elections.

I vetoed early this morning. Well, not too early. Had two kids to take to two different schools first. Traffic was an issue (surprise!) but apparently everyone eventually got where they needed to be - and got home. whew! Thank a teacher, next time you see one.

Lake Serene precinct was hoppin' around 9:00am this morning. 4 Repub tables: A-D, E-M, N-R, S-Z. Dems had one table: A-Z (please) HA!

Heck, one kid and I rode back through OG and LS around 6:00, just to say "hi" to all our buddies waving signs. What a hoot. Best pre-season party in the county.

Well, this poll worker is done, and if the other poll workers are trying to fill out that blasted breakdown piece of paper, it's going to be a late night. I called in when it didn't say what it was supposed to say, and they said forget about it and just bring in the stuff... so I did. I think I was the first box in, and I the photographer took my picture and name...

The piece of paper I'm talking about is one that's used to tabulate the number of ballots cast. Since Repub and Dems are using same machines, but different poll books, the machine is supposed to break down the ballots by how many repub and dem ballots are past. It didn't do that. Had total ballots cast, but didn't break them down in an easily discernible table like the paper sample had.

Very light turn out at the Blair precinct in Hattiesburg. Less than 400 voters total turned out out of about 1480. I suppose that's about 1/4, so 25% isn't THAT bad... is it?

Oh, the people I saw who reinforced my weird ideas that EVERYONE shouldn't vote.. including the lady who only wanted to vote for that guy with the cute commercial about his name being wrong and the guy who was definitely mentally handicap and preceded to tell me when his birthday was about 20 times before and after he voted.

Mike, that one Dem table, I trust it was a small one and likely saw little activity. :-D

America is a great country - the right of vote is open to folks with mental challenges and to folks burdened with terminal intellectual self-inflation!
