County voter turnout percentages in Tuesday's primaries:

Forrest - 32.7

Lamar - 48.0

Covington - 20.1

George - 41.0

Greene - 61.2

Jeff Davis - 44.5

Jones - 42.0

Marion - 23.7

Pearl River - 19.4

Perry - 46.5

Are the percentages low or do they match all election results?

Great turnouts for Greene and Perry Counties. Greene's percentage blows me away.

The 23.7% in Marion County surprised me, particularly since the incumbent sheriff did not seek re-election. I thought that race in particular might trigger a stronger voter turnout.
