I don't know why, but the results of this poll surprised me. I love to read, even though I don't have much time. The last book I read was about two months ago. I read the newspaper every day. (Job hazard).

I'm curious, though. When was the last time you sat down and read a book?

I thought it was higher than that. I'm sure some people said they had read a book when they may have only read a chapter.

Why do you make all your polls public?

HOw do I make them not public? (Sorry, new at the poll thing).

Why, though? You don't want people to know how many books you read? :)

There's nothing wrong with public polls, unless you're afraid of making your feelings known.

I love to read and don't have enough free time to read as much as I would like. I have to limit myself to one book a month because when I start one, I can't put it down until I finish it.

I don't read books often, but I am constantly reading SOMETHING, and I don't mean magazines or shampoo bottles.

Glad to know this! I am just like you. I have literally stayed up until 4 a.m. once and could barely keep my eyes open, but I HAD to get to the end.

You can do that in public polls, too. The openness of a poll won't stop someone from lying, but it makes them think twice about using their aliases.

Nah. She'd only be trashy if she was wearing a shirt with the No. 69 on it. Not 68 :)

I LOVE to read. I read every night. Once I finish a book I start another. There are about 4 of us at work that swap books out. But I also go to the used book store on Hardy Street to get my books. Its great I highly recommend it.

I was an avid reader as a child and young adult and still love a good book. I wish I had more time to read now but spend a lot of my free time creating music and reading manuals and tutorials related to that. I've been so busy lately that I'm lucky to find time to visit a few internet sites (MH included) and post in various forums. When I have some down time I usually watch a movie or some TV. I suppose when I retire from working full time, playing and creating music, and doing computer related work part time maybe then I'll have time to enjoy the wonders of reading again.

On average, I read a book a week plus my schoolbooks ( but those aren't really entertaining :p). Usually it's "easy reading", James Patterson for example.

I absolutely love to read and collect books! I have gone years at a time without a tv in my house, but never been without books to read. They were and still are my escape from the daily mundane routine and have taken me on adventures throught the world, when I was not able to go myself. I feel sorry for people who have never figured out the joy, adventure, peace and excitement that can all be found in a good book!

The Book Rack is I think what you are talking about now you should try the one on hwy 11 past Oak Grove High school .They have a better selection of books especially hardbound. Same people though.

I love books and read as much as I can. Sometimes I go a few weeks in between, but I have shelves full of books waiting to be picked up. You don't want to see what happens when Hudsons' gets a bookstore stock in...

I used to read about 3 or 4 books a month, some are online...although they are actually long books 300+ pages - takes me forever to read them sometimes, because I like to just lay in bed and read. I haven't read any lately. I did just buy Gates of Fire- when I move into the new house, I'm going to start that one! :)
