Well, I have a dilemma. I live in Petal & so does oldest daughter and grandkids.....Youngest daughter lives in Oak Grove and grandson is on the 9th grade football team. ????
I will go and yell for my grandson and maybe clap for Petal, especially since my niece is one of the Petal flag girls, or whatever they are called now.

Imapepper,
You just got to love them both. It will be tricky around the dinner tables though. My hubby is from Petal and I from OG.

Big, enthusiastic crowd last night at the grove. Lots of good food, Thanks to Joe and the rest of the cooks. The football field is almost ready, and the boys are ready to play. Man I love football.

Meet the Panthers was tonight in Petal. Didn't make it, but the parking lot at the school was slam full.:smt001

I've noticed Oak Grove has beefed up its non division schedule...playing Petal, Clinton and George County (all 5A teams..and all teams that made the play-offs last year). In recent years, they've played NE Jones and South Jones, who frankly didn't match up on the field and the outcome turned out to be blowouts.
I think match-ups like these not only create greater interest in the games themselves but also help prepare a team for the play-offs, and that is what the Warriors need on both counts.
