So, has anyone else had this problem. My sweet little Pumpkin underwent surgery Monday to remove a stone in her bladder.
Since I've had her (the end of May), we've had 2 trips to the vet because of blood in her urine. The 2nd trip was a more extensive exam to determine why the recurring infection.
First time we spent a week on antibiotics second trip was 2 weeks on antibiotics and a prescription diet. We go back for the checkup, and we find still a small amount of blood and sediment in the urine. So, it's off to the back for an x-ray. What does the x-ray show, a stone the size of a butterbean. My poor, poor baby.
She actually came thru it so well, she was able to come home a day earlier than expected. She's recovering very well. There was only one stone, very easy to remove and very little scar tissue.
Now that that's taken care of and in addition to the PetSmart training classes we're enrolled in, hopefully I will not have to take the anger managment classes my dear sweet husband keeps threatening me with.:smt013
