Family loses second son in Iraq
By LISA LEFF
<!-- ARTICLE BODYTEXT --> <!--ARTICLE TEXT--> CLOVIS, Calif. - Early in the Iraq war, Jeff and Peggy Hubbard faced the news that every parent with a child at war dreads, the death of their son Jared, a Marine killed alongside his best friend.
Two years, nine months and 18 days later, they faced another grim-faced officer. This time, it was their youngest, Army Cpl. Nathan Hubbard, 21, dead in a helicopter crash in Iraq.
A third brother, Jason, was on another helicopter in the same unit and was at the crash site. He accompanied his brother's body on a flight out of Iraq and was on his way home for the funeral.

I hope they find some comfort somehow. I don't think I would be able to face that tragedy-the loss of a child. My heart is sad for them. I will remember them in my prayers and pray for them some peace.

I saw the story last week on the news. IMO, all the politicians, especially the pres and his cabinet should have to attend each and every funeral for all our service people who have been killed...hopefully it would play on their hearts and they would not be nearly so anxious to send all these kids into harms way for BS reasons like oil!
Every time you see the news you hear that the Iraq people are not joining their own forces or fighting.. except for fighting each other..IF they are not willing to fight for their own country, WHY should we loose our people to fight for them. ..we should not have to police the world.

I dread this every day. I know that I'm one of the few blessed ones whose husband isn't over there, yet. but there is always the chance that they call him and tell him that they are being deployed. I don't know how i'd handle that much less if something happened to him. My heart definitely goes out to these families, because even though I know not yet what it is exactly that they go thru, I feel the fear of not knowing what will happen. Just the fact that at any second of any day my husband could be sent over there terrifies me. Prayers are powerful, and I will continue to say mine for these troops and their families.
