What kind of water do you like? I love all of it! If I had to choose I would probably have to say my ole stomping grounds in the brackish water of the Pascagoula River. Fishing under the I-10 bridge in the fall of the year almost always produced a mix bag off Specks, Reds, Flounders, Bass, Shellcrackers (you can catch some big ol' shellcrackers down there) and I have even plucked a small shark out of the river just below the bridge about a mile. So, what kind of water do you like?

I prefer saltwater. I just love catching specks and reds. :)

I love Salt water or brackish water fishing, but about 12 years ago, I was on a chartered deep-sea trip out of New Iberia ( sp?) when we found ourselves in the middle of a quickly forming tropical system. Needless to say it was quite rough! After tying up to a rig that was struck by lightening and caught on fire, we were once again adrift in the "high seas". I promised the Good Lord if he would get me on dry land I would never go back....so, I haven't been back.
Now...I fish small Mississippi rivers. I love to fish Little River in Columbia. Nothing more fun that catching bass on a fly rig.
So I guess I am a fresh water girl now!

Call me boring but give me a rod and reel, and a cricket on a nice farm pond. My Uncle owned a wonderful pond a mile down Elks Lake road from 49S. Mom lived on the land and I fished it for bream and bass.

Bream Busters are better. But I like ultra light tackle for bream.

I primarily fish freshwater, but also find myself fishing the brackish tidal waters of the Pascagoula, Pearl, and Jordan.

I like to fish the islands and the offshore reefs and the oil rigs.

It depends on the time of year for me. In the spring I like to fish freshwater for bedding bass and bream beds. When things start to heat up I like saltwater. Just seems to be more action. In the fall I like the brackish waters of Pearl River.

I like the kind of water that will float a boat, so I can drink beer without the water getting in the can....
Saltwater, I guess I just feel the fish are "cleaner".
You can catch anything from a 3# MahiMahi for barbequeing to any number of 80# Lemon Fish or King Mackeral. There are larger fish but these have been the norm for me when I used to go.

The only fishing I've ever done is freshwater. The last time I went, my uncle and I sat in same flat-bottom boat that I sat in with my grandpa when I was a small fuzz, drinking beer, casting out and catching nothing...but a turtle. It bit him too.
We went home and he fried up some that he'd caught on a previous trip.

Actually I like either fresh or saltwater fishing...although I only started fishing salt water just a few years ago when I moved to the Bay...

That's bound to violate some law here in the south.

Salt water rules. My poor old bass boat hasn't been in fresh water for 2 years now. I do enjoy going to the spillway when the water gets up to flood stage and catching them big slab white perch and a cooler full of catfish. Too bad the water hasn't been right for the past couple of years. It's getting close to "Go Time" on the coast. If I can just hold out for a few more weeks...:ohnoes:
