South Mississippi Heros - who watched it?

A++ to WLOX for showing amazing and heroic stories. What amazed me even more was to see people I know...they're heroes too. From Elmer Mullins helping the officers of the sherriff's dept in Harrison County, to the couple in BSL who let people stay in their store. A man who didn't believe in God, became a believer that today...2 years ago. Father Louis (of Long Beach) helped the residents of this town stand back up and walk again. Robin Roberts blessed the coast, especially Pass Christian by sharing the story of our neighbors to the entire country, while other news stations were in New Orleans. The Long Beach fire dept fought to keep their station from collapsing. A woman, Donna, let 300 people stay in her small hotel, some for over a year. In the Gulfport VA, Jim Cantori (TWC) joined the Seabees and others in carrying the disabled WW2 vets to upper floors. The stories are truly amazing, how lucky we are that we live in such a country, that others are willing to drop everything just to lend a hand to someone else. Now that's American.

I didn't catch this today since I BARELY pick up any local channels with our little outside antenna. Other then WDAM which we BARELY watch. Lots of people stepped up to the plate to help others when their government left them stranded in giant toilet bowls (Superdome) or bound up in enough red tape to choke an elephant. (FEMA)

Oh, I did forget to mention Gene Taylor - my mom knows him pretty well. We ran into him in BSL; he sure was out there cleaning up. I think Mississippi put herself on the map on this day 2 years ago! We earned the respect of the rest of the country...and we damn sure deserved it! But, I met sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many volunteerers from other states...ready to assist and give. It reminds me of the movie Pay it Forward...

I wish I could show yall the video I made, but it's about 20 minutes and I have NO idea how to get something that size online.

If you don't want to post it for all to see you can set it to personal and only allow those that you invite to watch it.
Of course I'm assuming the video is already on our PC. ;)

You can use Windows Movie Maker to break the movie up into 100mb chunks. Again, assuming you already have it on your PC.

I saw Governor Barbour's fat ass on NBC this morning drawling about "Hurrycain recuvary". At 300 lbs, the Guvnur is truly representing us as the most obese people in the union!

Don't make me come through this computer! :) I was actually proud of him after the storm...of course a blowup dummy would beat Blanco and Nagin anyday!

Oh, me too, don't get me wrong. I think the Governor showed real leadership after the storm. That was one time when I was glad we had a former GOP chairmain and powerful Washington lobbyist as our Governor.

Nonetheless, I still have eyes, and the Guv is fat as hell. He is a fat leader. I thought he was suppose to be doing the whole Huckabee thing? What happened to that? I think he's fatter now than before.

He's a good representation of the fattie state! :) I need to lose some lbs in my thighs, hips, and butt! :)

Katrina was the one time parties didn't matter...even *gulp* Trent Lott stepped up

You will have to have software to split the video (http://www.snapfiles.com/downloadfind.php?st=Video+Splitter&action=s&search=Find+it&lc=1) then you'll need to convert it, to be uploaded to google or youtube. I haven't done any of this, so my knowledge is low. Maybe you could post this in Tech forum?
