dui suspect kills man

A man in California is out on bond after hitting a man and leaving the scene. He drove home approximately 1 mile after hitting the man so hard he went halfway through the back windshield. The torso was still in his windshield when the police arrived at his house. He was charged with vehicular manslaughter as the most serious charge. :alchoholic: He already has a previous dui too.

I don't understand, how do you not realize there is someone sticking out of your windshield!!! This guy deserves punishment to the fullest extent of the law! Although I'm sure once he sobered up he'll have some serious guilt to deal with too.

What I do not understand is how does the Court system let him out on bond. His bond should have been set high enough where he could not afford it or not have a bond set at all.

How drunk was the driver to not notice THAT?
