Took the opportunity afforded to me yesterday, being off, to take some friends tubing. After topping off the truck and the boat I almost cried.....The pay at the pump feature stops you at 75 bucks ya know.....I restarted the process twice. On the horizon.....ominus clouds and on the ride home, it started. Thunderbolts in Lightning very very frightning. Everybody was piled up at the house waiting to tube, so I said once the Electrical Activity blew over I'd take em......What I didn't consider was being pelted with rain all afternoon while pulling the tube! Still we had a blast.

Tubing to me is floating down the Pascagoula river on inner tubes pulling a tube full of beer behind.

That too is tubing. I tend to canoe and camp on the sand bars though.

I went tubing one time over the other side of Bogalusa somewhere...THAT was my last time. I was enjoying myself until a big ole snake swam up next to me....then I tried to walk on water...as soon as I could I got out and stayed out! :)

Hawkeye, that is a cool cabin! Thanks for sharing those pictures...
RGDoherty, you are a good man to keep your word to that bunch of kids and take them out in the rain anyway! My dad took us tubing in the rain a few times and even though we got pelted too, we had a blast and would to this day do it all again!
Maggie-D, my Daddy taught me that those poor ol snakes are just as scared of you as you are of them... we used to (and still do) swim in the lakes, creeks and ponds all of the time and would see them everywhere... they never bothered us. I didn't ever think about it too much then... I am more cautious now though, but still swim in the great outdoors!
