For many people the fall season means the start of football. While I enjoy football, what gets me most excited about fall is the start of deer season. Planting food plots, scouting, fine tuning the bow and rifle....the whole experience brings me such joy. What's even better is I get to enjoy the venison that all my hard work provides.

Well while your out walking the woods and setting up tree stands and planting plots I will be on the water in search for the Ole' Bucketmouths.
Have fun.

Yeah, I love to fish and hunt so I am definitely what some people call a "seasonal outdoorsman".

Hubby took me hunting once. Time stood still. I don't know what on earth it is all about. I could actually hear my heart beat and it was so boring. I thought it would be good quality together time. But the hubby wouldn't let me talk and he had a terrible problem with my potato chip bag. So I wish him all the best when he goes hunting. Hope this year is a good hunting season for you guys. Have fun. If yall need me I'll be at the mall.

We could use you and your tater chip bag for man drives. Trust me, you can talk all you want and rattle your bag, too. Be sure to wear your boots and briar chaps. :smt001

Thanks. I think. I don't know what man drives and briar chaps are but I have boots. At least, the boots I take for walking around when I go skiing out west.

I love deer season. I used to hunt, but prefer now to support my boys in their efforts. Our household ritual is for me to have them a big ole' pan of cathead buiscits with tomato gravy, grits and a pound or tow of bacon ready when they get back. It is my favorite time of the year...except for, of course, spring planting time.

My boys are my hubby and our seventeen year old son!

Oh no no no. I woke my hubby up from a nap to ask him about this man drive stuff and as FUN AS THAT SOUNDS, I believe I'm gonna have to pass on that. Getting shot is not on my list of things to do.
