Red eyes won't clear up!

We have treated Bigfoot's eyes with antihistimines and steroid drops. the vet says it is just allergies. Any suggestions?

Oh my, what a beautiful dog. The pic didn't show on the first posting. In that pic he shows baby blue eyes. Dat dog looks like he has a lot of Staffordshire blood in his line. I had a girl who looked very much like him. One of the bestest, most loyal, K-9's I've ever had the pleasure of sharing company.

He is gorgeous and very, very obedient. He does have a lot of Staffordshire in him. He comes from a line of show dogs. He is VERY big- only 7 months old and already 65 pounds. He loves ice and has learned to dispence it himself from the lever on the door of the fridge.

We cannot keep him out of the pond- he loves the water.
