It is going to be interesting to see exactly what they do have on this guy...I hope for their sake (USM PD) they didn't get scared with all the stuff that was happening at the time and jump the gun....the situation sure has rocked on a long time thus far without much information being let.

Has this case gone to the grand jury? If not, why? If it has, then some kind of disclosure had to be made when the evidence was presented to the grand jury. I'm not saying the guy is innocent, because I don't know the details. But I've seen multiple homicide cases move faster than this and no one was even hurt. Who is this guy's lawyer and why isn't he out raising hell? Could it be that he has been privy to the evidence and thus knows that they are going to nail his client? Lots of questions.

yuri can't afford to hire a lawyer.
many people are at ole miss and a few other colleges in MS that know him, and are all working to trying to figure out themselves what is going on.
he also believes that the public defender is on the jon mark team-

So, he's just sitting in jail because he doesn't trust the public defender?
I also hope that Southern didn't jump the gun on this one. If there was something alarming enough to pick him up-I have a hard time believing the bond would be quite so high without hard evidence.

What charge is he specifically indicted on? $1 million bail is very excessive unless there is specific evidence that if he is released he will pose a threat. People who are accused of actually killing someone often get a bail much lower than $1 million. It looks like the public defender could at least make a motion to lower the bail. (If he hasn't already)

Oh, looks like he was indicted. Guess they have some evidence for his charge.

Wasn't there another thread on here (or somewhere) where someone (at some point) posted the threatening things that Wainwright posted on myspace? I know I read it, I just can't remember where and I was wanting to go back and re-read them.
