Here are some stats from the 2006 clean up. I hope to make this one, but I think Jr. has his first Flag football game. The annual clean up will be Sat. week Sept. 15th.
I have done this a couple of times and you can actually find some pretty interesting stuff if you look close enough. I like collecting all of the crab pot markers. I can usually find 6-12 of em' if I am just out explorin'. The article is in the SunHerald (http://www.sunherald.com/business/story/135594.html).

You all know by now I hate people who litter. As I have said before they are scum. I rank em' right up there with wife beaters. So, if you ain't got nothin' to do, go to the coast and pick up some trash off of our beaches. If you got a boat go clean up around my favorite fishin' hole out at Round Island.:smt023
Thanks a million,

You know litter bugs drive me crazy. I always toot my horn at them. Hubby thinks I might get dead doing that one too many times. But I have often wandered if there is a number to call and report their tag numbers. My town is not their ashtray or their garbage can.

To volunteer
Visit www.masgc.org/cleanup (http://www.masgc.org/cleanup). Click on Online Registration. Fill out and fax the form. Large groups should also call. Signed liability-release forms are required for Mississippi residents under age 21.

If you read the article you may miss the website you need to go to so you can register. It's at the bottom of the page so I added it here in the quote.

Littering is lazy! I would be there, but this working 7 days a week thing is killing me. I can't bare to throw an aluminum can or plastic bottle in the garbage...I keep them all day till I get home, then recycle! :)
