Man, I ain't a lake fisherman. If I were you I'd get me a 14ft. jon boat with a 15 h.p. deck out the front of it with about a 50-60 lb thrust trollin' motor and hit those pits. We gotta get hooked up one afternoon and put the whaler in up there. The lower pits are somewhat hard to navigate, but the uppers are fairly easy.
Now if you gonna put the B-cat in a lake I would say, if'n it were me go to Jeff Davis. I have caught some decent fish up there. Especially on the dam. There used to be about a foot and a half that the grass floated out over the water. Pumpkinseed lizard 7" zoom and a 3/16 or 1/8 oz. bullet sinker did the trick for me up there. Not a big lake, but it had some nice fish in it. It's been awhile since I have visited there though.

I was thinking closer to home, like the North Lake of Lake Serene to load the freezer, the Oak Grove Lake to catch a Big ol good un or the Stumpy Lake to catch a fair amount of median fish. If you're available in the morning, I've got a seat to reserve for ya, fish bait.

Appreciate the invitation! I am a 7 to 5ver' though mon thru thurs. Fridays it is 7 to 3. Then there are the occasional Sat's and Suns......well numerous here for the past 2 years. Another thing is my fishin' gear is scattered in between 3 storage units and my maw-n-laws. I don't know how in the hell I let that happen...someone ought to kick my butt.:smt009
But hopefully in the coming weeks everything will come back together. I am really lookin' forward to the end of Oct. when I make my Red October campin' trip at the isles.

Dude, you can store all your fishing gear in one place, my house. I promise not to use it.............much.

Try fishing Timbertons ponds on the golf course, there used to be some monsters in there. But, I wouldn't personally know, from a late night recon, back in high school, no, wouldn't know.........
If it were me, I'd be at the stump lake at the crack of dawn and tease ole bucket mouth with a top water plug around the stumps as the sun came up.

Thanks! We'll get there soon. Might try next weekend. I'll be the sailboat with the trolling rod off the back!!! Schizophrenic i know, but if your going just the right speed, hard not to have a line out! Don't know if I'm a sailor that likes to fish or a fisherman that likes to sail. No matter.
